Today is the tenth anniversary of 9/11. If, for some strange reason, you don't know what happened on 9/11, Google it (Google is your best friend).
So my question is, where were you when it happened? How old were you? Did you understand what had happened? Were you scared that you lost family members or friends? Did you actually lose family members or friends?
I was sitting in 4th period Spanish class in sixth grade when the principal went on the PA system and called everyone down to the auditorium to explain to us what happened. Now, at almost eleven, when I get lectured, I zone out. So the principal dismissed the 7th and 8th graders, but kept the 6th graders behind to explain it again, and I finally understood what happened.
I was worried the rest of the day, because my dad works in New York City. He was fine, though. He managed to come home early amid all the chaos. Turns out, though, that he saw it happen from his window.
The year after, however, we were interviewed by a French newspaper on what happened (my mom is French). The article was printed on 9/11 in France.
