Basically a blog about the reason why Dan's working very hard on Victorious. Here are my reasons below: The second half is about iCarly air dates. read whatever you want! Victorious
I'm pretty sure all of you guys have noticed iCarly is starting to fall; was not as good as it was like in seasons 2 and 3. But, iCarly so far has been doing steady despite it being worse. For example the numbers of viewers are relatively steady compared to season 1-3. As far as I know, iOwe you and iTake on Dingo were the weakest episodes since only 3.3 million people watched it. iCarly has about... 5 million viewers-7 million depending on the week it's aired etc. So iCarly is ok so far... and wouldn't be canceled FOR THE AMOUNT OF VIEWERS. With that many people watching on a cable network, I'm very sure that's a great amount.
Now on to Dan's other show "Victorious." How good is this show? I'm not sure because I never really got into it. Basically through common sense, Dan must work very hard on the first season. The reason is because if the first season is bad then there won't be a second season or a third one. I believe this is why iCarly is starting to "fall" during season 4. Dan might also be a little worried about this TV show. Well... the number of viewers for this one is relatively small compared to others like iCarly. The first premiere only received 5.7 million viewers while iCarly's premiere got 13.0 million! Victorious's all time low was 2.4 million viewers and that's only the first season. Each season USUALLY less amount of viewers watch the show because of being uninterested OR keeps its audiences hooked (like iCarly). Victorious got about 3.9 million so far season 1, iCarly got about 5.7 million just for season 4 so far(averaged it).
Major edit: I guess Victorious is popular enough according to Nick. This new link (that was RECENTLY) posted by Dan will be put below. iCarly is still MORE popular "In terms of awards, Victorious received two 2010 Teen Choice Award nominations – not bad for a brand new series that only debuted this year.
Alright and here's his whole speech since some ppl can't access it or watever!
Hello! It's 2011, and I want to begin this New Year with a special thank you to the fans of iCarly, Victorious, and all the shows/movies my team and I have made in the past.
Everyone at Schneider's Bakery works hard, but none of that hard work would matter if you guys didn't tune in to watch. We're really proud of our shows, but I think it makes us even more proud that you like them and are always so supportive.
2010 was an incredible year for team Schneider's Bakery. Because of the fans' support, the following things happened...
iCarly took Nickelodeon to new heights with iSaved Your Life, Nickelodeon's highest-rated, most-watched telecast in the network's history.
Victorious set a ratings record as the most-watched first telecast of any new live-action TV show ever, in the network's history.
In terms of music, I'm proud to say that we ended 2010 (and begin 2011) with the Victorious song Freak The Freak Out still in the Top 40 of all music on iTunes. Ever since its release (over a month ago), Freak The Freak Out has been Nickelodeon's highest ranked single on iTunes.
We closed the year with the first Victorious movie Freak The Freak Out as the #1 television episode on iTuneskids. Even though that episode first aired over a month ago, it's remained at the top of that list ever since – something I've ever seen happen before. And there are three iCarly episodes in the Top 10, as you can see here:
We had the pleasure and fun of working with some amazingly talented guest stars like Jack Black, Jane Lynch, and Perez Hilton. All three of them couldn't have been more nice, professional, and funny.
We experienced the excitement of seeing our shows mentioned in the media by superstars like Harrison Ford and Sylvester Stallone.
We saw Spaghetti Tacos become a nation-wide craze, mentioned in dozens of newspapers, magazine, and TV shows.
And there were many more great moments and accomplishments, but I don't want to make this too long. So, I'll get to my real point here...
None of these wonderful things would have happened in 2010 without the loyal, awesome FANS of these shows. For that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm insanely lucky that I get to spend my life entertaining people – making people smile, laugh, and feel happy. That's something I'll never take for granted.
You guys keep watching and laughing, and I promise that team Schneider's Bakery will continue working hard to bring you the best, most fun entertainment we possibly can.
Love & Happy New Year!!!
anyways links are here (the wikipedia links gives u links the TV show viewers if u dont trust me lol)
So I ask, could this be the reason Dan's working so hard on Victorious and why iCarly is falling? or does victorious have enough viewers watching Victorious? What other possibilities or reasons are there to why iCarly isn't doing so well?
Please answer all three if you can :)
iCarly Air Dates
On a side note most of you (sometimes me) are asking Nick for airdates. Well... remember this: Dan goes back to filming iCarly in March or April. (He tweeted it somewhere in late Dec. and I think Nathan tweeted this too) Alright so those episodes filmed in March or April will probably air in...Summer, late summer, or Fall. The reason is probably because Nick has to approve of it, find an air date that would be ok, and check it sticks to the G or PG ratings or watever. You get my point right? (I hope) Alright now to those episodes we so dearly want to watch! Let's see...there's iPity the Nevel, iHire an Idiot, iParty with Victorious, and that "mysterious" 310 promo code. These are four episodes that are supposed to fill in a gap between now January until June. That's 6 months! Also, we don't know when 310 promo code will air... so it mite air at the end of season 4? (maybe who knows rite?) By the way, June is the earliest that will be aired...so if Nick "Creates" a new season, season 5, it would probably start in September! So... Nick has to air those 4 episodes of iCarly either every other month (every 8 weeks: January, March, May, July) OR will leave a huge time gap and start airing iCarly in May or June and air every two weeks until season 5 starts.
I hope you understand that we won't be seeing new iCarly episodes for a while...BUT I mean I could be wrong. Maybe nick will air those episodes made in march or April right away. So maybe April or May if we're super lucky lol. But I hope you guys understand it's not really Nick's fault... They just need more time scheduling iCarly! (it's dan's he should've created more episodes!! LOL i'm kidding) But ya we will just have to wait and see. Don't take my words too seriously though you guys! we never know what can happen...
So...I"m not too sure it's Nick's fault since they only have 3 or 4 episodes to air til June. But you guys decide!
So my question is: Is it really Nick's fault? or is it No one's fault because Dan is too busy creating new episodes?
...But does it really mean its ending? I kinda have my doubts like u guys, but Victorious first aired in March 2010 rite? meaning the writers must've worked on it in about...Sept-Nov 2009. iCarly's season 3 must've been created around that time too rite? yet some if not most of us think Season 3 was a great season! Well im' not sure about the air date thingy...but ya my point is that I think Dan worked on Season 3 and Victorious at the same time. Yea...season 4 hasn't been all that great for iCarly...but maybe cuz of the amount of viewers for victorious? 2.9-4 mil mostly... but idk. I have some hope left :) never know!
and... there will be a TOTAL of 96 episodes for iCarly, so be sure to expect more to be aired than what has been!
