I've written a lot of blogs (60!), and a lot of them address shippings, but I've never given my real true honest to god (and possibly goddess) opinion on shippings.

BTW, I honestly don't know why it took me so long to make a blog like this. I should've made it back when I first joined the wiki, when no one knew who would end up with each other and for how long.

Anyways, I like to think of myself as a neutral shipper. However, I admit to having supported a relationship between Sam and Freddie for a little while, but I didn't really "ship" it.

Thing is, when I first watched iCarly, I only watched because I fit the age demographic, knew about Miranda Cosgrove from Drake & Josh, and thought the show was funny. When I joined the wiki, I saw the shipping pages, and thought "What a bunch of socially deprived nutjobs."

(What did I know?)

Back then, shipping was a big part of the wiki. In fact, it was such a big part that there was a lot of shipping spam, e.g., someone saying that "Cal is the son of Carly and Freddie" or "The mysterious little girl from iSpace Out is the daughter of Sam and Freddie." When the people who posted this were asked why they thought this was true, they said stuff like, "Everyone knows Carly/Sam will have a baby with Freddie," or "Because they look like a cross between Carly/Sam and Freddie."

In light of the craze with iStart a Fanwar craze and the Seddie arc, the constant ship-warring has died down. This wiki isn't as focused on the shipping as it used to be. My guess is that things are a little more resolved now.
